About Our Founder

Audrey Moye Mewborn did not just study communities; she lived in them, served them, and refused to leave them behind. As the founder of TRENDUP Foundation  Inc., Audrey brings decades of hands-on experience walking alongside families in their most vulnerable moments, helping them find their footing, their voice, and their future.  Audrey carries more than thirty years of service, scholarship, and soul into everything she does.  

With a B.S. and M.S. in Early Childhood Education and Studies, decades of service through Head Start, and certifications in family development and peer support, Audrey has spent her career doing the quiet, powerful work of changing lives from the inside out. As a Pre-K Teacher, Family Advocate, Parent Educator, and Family Services Coordinator within the Head Start program, she met families where they were and believed where they could go. This reflects dedication and commitment as someone who understands the journey.

Today, Audrey serves as Vice Chairman on the Board of Commissioners of the Ayden Housing Authority, where she continues to fight for stability and dignity in the community she loves. As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, she brings lived understanding to every conversation and every decision.

TRENDUP Foundation Inc. was born from Audrey's unwavering belief that every child, every individual, every family in Ayden and Pitt County deserve a chance to rise and thrive.
